About This
- XIXICHA dong ding oolong tea originates from the prime high-elevation tea-growing region of Lugu Township in Nantou County, Taiwan, cultivated at 800-1000 meters above sea level. Sourced from the Qing Xin Oolong tea varietal, this mountainous terrain remains perpetually shrouded in mist and clouds. Our commitment to irrigating the tea plants with natural mountain spring water yields a distinctively rich and enduring orchid fragrance when tasted and a sweet aftertaste
- We harvest only once a year during early spring. Tea farmers head up the mountains at the crack of dawn to ensure optimal freshness of the leaves. We insist on manual picking, carefully selecting the freshest one bud with two leaves at the top of the tea tree, and retaining the tender stems, which gives this tea a natural sweetness and a rich taste (the aftertaste has a thick and sticky texture)
- Our taiwan dong ding oolong tea loose leaf is meticulously handcrafted by tea masters with 60 years of expertise using traditional techniques. The production process involves natural withering, shaking, stir frying, kneading, wrapping, and charcoal roasting. With a fermentation level of approximately 30%, this tea features distinctive semi-spherical curly leaves in a dark green color, and golden yellow edges
- This high-quality dongding oolong tea has a red edge at the base. After brewing, the tea soup is golden yellow, giving off floral and ripe fruit aromas, accompanied by caramel, milk and roasted scents. After swallowing the tea soup, one can clearly feel the throat being moisturized, which is particularly comfortable
- Add 5-8 grams of tea leaves to a cup, pour in hot water heated to 90-95°C (194-203°F), and steep for 15 seconds before enjoying. XIXICHA Taiwan Dong Ding Oolong Loose-Leaf Tea uses dual vacuum-sealed packaging with aluminum bags and tin cans to maximize freshness and aroma. If you’re searching for a premium tea to gift, this is an excellent choice
